Pierre Sterlé (1905–1978) was a French jeweller known for his innovative and highly sculptural designs. Often called the "couturier of jewellery", he transformed gold into fluid ribbons, feathers and lace-like forms inspired by nature and fashion. Working in Paris from 1934, Sterlé became one of the leading jewellers of the 1940s and 1950s. His rare signed pieces remain highly prized for their originality and craftsmanship.
