An 18k yellow gold ladies wristwatch by Chopard
Chopard, founded in 1860 by Louis-Ulysse Chopard in the Swiss Jura region, began as a watchmaking company renowned for its precision and reliability. Its early clients included prestigious institutions like the Swiss Railway Company and even Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. After facing decline during the mid-20th century, the brand was revitalised in 1963 when German goldsmith Karl Scheufele III acquired it. Under his leadership, Chopard expanded into fine jewellery, with the "Happy Diamonds" collection, designed by Caroline Scheufele, becoming one of the brand’s most iconic creations.
