Founded in the 1860s, the Italian firm has been favoured by royalty and stars of the screen for over 150 years. Queen Margherita of Savoy was a loyal client as were the Monegasque royal family.

Since the 1960s Faraone has been run by the Settespassi family who have a long history within the jewellery industry. Today Cesare Settespassi directs the firm.

Driven by this awareness of their clients, Faraone have seamlessly adapted to the modern demands for wearability within jewellery without compromising quality. The opening of a subsidiary, ‘Faraone Casa d’Aste’ allows customers the opportunity to sell old pieces to buy something more wearable.

Although Faraone appreciates the new place fine jewellery has in the lives of modern women, they also uphold the importance of history. Housed in the brand’s headquarters on Via Montena Poleone in Milan, is a broad archive of historical pieces produced by Faraone in the 19th and 20th century.

Faraone might not a household name in the US, as it is in its native Italy and Europe, but from the 1980s until 2001 Faraone fostered a close relationship with the US powerhouse, Tiffany & Co. Their bold designs have made Faraone popular with stars of the stage and screen. such celebrity clients have included Maria Callas, Ingrid Bergman and Ava Gardner.

Faraone continues to produce high quality fine jewellery, while masterfully adapting to the demands of the modern market.

‘F’ di Faraone

Faraone divides it’s contemporary collections between the high end ‘One of a Kind’ collection of fine jewels and a more affordable ‘ ‘F’ di Faraone’ collection of gold jewellery more suited to the everyday.

At the centre of every ‘One of a Kind’ Faraone design is a high quality gemstone. From Ceylon Sapphires to yellow diamonds in a variety of bold cuts that are each totally unique. A particularly striking example is a platinum ring set with a sugarloaf cabochon sapphire.

Within the ‘F’ di Faraone’ collection are a selection of chic oval pendants, bracelets and earrings in the house’s signature design. All of these pieces are rendered in 18k gold. Some include accents of pave coloured gemstones, classic white or exotic brown diamonds to suite all complexions and every occasion. The double oval merges a classic elegance with modern lines to create a timeless, yet edgy chic characteristic of Faraone.
